STEM Ambassadors

The University of Mississippi STEM Ambassadors’ primary mission is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math professions to those individuals who are unfamiliar with these fields. Current ambassadors are students from the School of Engineering who spend their time travelling to Mississippi elementary, middle, and high schools in order to share information on pursuing Engineering as a field of study.

Typically, school visits from ambassadors consist of either a presentation regarding the various professional opportunities available through degrees in STEM fields or hands-on activities that allow students to relate math and science skills to theSTEM professions. STEM Ambassadors also participate in on-campus activities here at the University of Mississippi where prospective students can visit and gain information in these areas.

If you are interested in having a STEM Ambassador visit your school, please contact Ryan Upshaw.
