Mississippi FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Program
Welcome to the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Program in Mississippi. FIRST Tech Challenge is a head-to-head competition between teams of students in grades 7-12 who are responsible for designing, building, and programming robots in an annual game. Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.
FIRST Tech Challenge is more than a robotics program! We are a community focused on building a better world for tomorrow by engaging students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). FIRST Tech Challenge is about teaching students the value of hard work, innovation, and creativity. It goes beyond the competition by teaching teenagers the importance of working together, sharing ideas, and treating each other with respect and dignity.
The Center for Mathematics and Science Education at the University of Mississippi serves as the FIRST affiliate partner for the state of Mississippi.
